I have found that one of the most important attitudes to have during a successful home birth is that of surrender. It is the utilization of profound faith in nature, deep respect and reverence for your body's ability to create, sustain and bring forth life and an unwavering belief in your minds ability to create the outcome that you desire. With the application of these beliefs come a natural trust in the birth process that translates to deep relaxation of the body and mind.
